Baked Brie with Mnopgwad Preserves
Ingredients: Serves 2-4
1 small wheel brie
2 Tbsp your choice of MNOPGWAD PRESERVES
Bannock Baguette
3 ½ cups all purpose flour
1 ½ Tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
¼ cup shortening
1 ½ cups water
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375F
- Mix flour with baking powder and salt
- Cut shortening into dry mixture until small crumbles (resembles wet sand)
- Add water and mix to form dough, do not over mix.
- Shape dough into baguettes
- Bake for 18 minutes
- Remove from oven, slice into rounds and spread over baking sheet and bake until golden and toasted, another 8-12 minutes. Remove from oven and cool. (can be prepared in advance)
- Slice brie into two rounds place one in round oven safe dish cut side up, top with 2 Tbsp of Mnopgwad preserves. Bake in oven 350F till cheese is melted and bubbly, about 12-15 minutes
