Baked Brie with Mnopgwad Preserves

Ingredients: Serves 2-4

1                              small wheel brie

2 Tbsp                   your choice of MNOPGWAD PRESERVES

Bannock Baguette

3 ½ cups               all purpose flour

1 ½ Tbsp               baking powder

1 tsp                      salt

¼ cup                    shortening

1 ½ cups               water


  1. Preheat oven to 375F
  2. Mix flour with baking powder and salt
  3. Cut shortening into dry mixture until small crumbles (resembles wet sand)
  4. Add water and mix to form dough, do not over mix.
  5. Shape dough into baguettes
  6. Bake for 18 minutes
  7. Remove from oven, slice into rounds and spread over baking sheet and bake until golden and toasted, another 8-12 minutes. Remove from oven and cool. (can be prepared in advance)
  8. Slice brie into two rounds place one in round oven safe dish cut side up, top with 2 Tbsp of Mnopgwad preserves. Bake in oven 350F till cheese is melted and bubbly, about 12-15 minutes
